Book editing

Category: ,
I love book-editing projects. Within the last 15 years I have established and helped edit six editions of the annual Car Design Review and was also managing editor of the 500-page, lifestyle-led Cars Now project for world-renowned art book publisher Taschen, in collaboration with Intersection magazine. In addition, I’ve edited a 400-page, company car tax title, involving lots of technical fact-checking, editing and proofing, while also art-directing and commissioning cover photography
“My role within these projects has included conducting interviews, commissioning writers, photographers and infographic artists, plus editing and final proofing”

The Car Design Review yearbook analyses key cars, concepts and trends and presents a lifetime achievement award to a deserving car designer, which since its inception has included Marcello Gandini, Giorgetto Giugiaro and Robert Opron. Work for the 200-page hardbacks includes conducting interviews, commissioning writers, designers, photographers and infographic artists, developing cover art ideas and finishes and editing and proofing pages using InDesign software
