For the Toyota Aygo Manga project the client wanted the specially-created comic character to come to life as a real-world heroine to promote the printed product and physical car on a purpose-built stand at London’s Comic Con exhibition. As art director, I found the manga artist, developed the storyboard, liaised with designers and printers, and commissioned an animator, musician, dress-maker and even a cosplay sword fabricator.
For the Lexus IS project I came up with the idea of adapting a David Hockney technique – creating large-scale photographic artworks out of lots of photographic details overlapping and lit in different ways – for the presentation of the new Lexus IS. The project was filmed and shared via social media, while two original artworks were displayed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
